Easter Sunday, also called “Resurrection Sunday”, is the most important Christian holiday observed with prayer and feasts. Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion and death on Good Friday. The wages of sin is death, and by Jesus laying down his life he has paid the penalty for mankind. The resurrection of Jesus Christ represents triumph over sin and death. Easter Sunday marks the end of Holy Week for Christians.
