Part II: Town Hall Discussion on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) & Critical Race Theory (CRT) No Politics. Just Truth. Community Invited to DEI & CRT Town Hall Amid National Policy Shifts LANGHORNE, PA – Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. - Omega Zeta Omega Chapter, in partnership with the NAACP Bucks County Branch, invites community members to attend our second DEI & CRT Town Hall on April 16, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Middletown Township Municipal Building, 3 Municipal Way, Langhorne, PA 19047. As national policies shift away from Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, this town hall will provide a fact-based, open discussion on the realities of DEI and Critical Race Theory (CRT). The goal is to address misinformation, promote education, and encourage constructive dialogue on how these frameworks impact our communities, schools, and workplaces. Why This Discussion Matters The recent January 20, 2025, executive order eliminating federal DEI programs has intensified the national conversation on equity and inclusion. While the administration positions this shift as promoting "colorblind equality," civil rights organizations, including the NAACP, have condemned it as a direct rollback of progress toward racial and economic justice. New federal policies restricting DEI-related grants and redefining diversity programs have also sparked legal and public policy challenges across the country. Despite political rhetoric framing DEI and CRT as divisive, these frameworks have long served as tools to address systemic inequities and expand opportunities for marginalized communities. Misrepresentations of these concepts have fueled anti-DEI narratives, making public education and open conversations more critical than ever. Event Details This town hall-style discussion will be led by: • The Honorable Judge Clyde Waite will offer insight into the legal and historical implications of DEI and CRT. • Political Analyst Kevin Antoine, JD will break down the federal policy rollbacks and discuss their impact on education, workplaces, and public policy at the local level. The event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend, share their perspectives, and engage in meaningful discussions that cut through political noise to focus on facts and solutions.
